Pete Kooner
Country Manager, Australia & NZ
Zafin
Pete is Zafin Country Manager Australia & NZ. He is responsible for driving sales growth and building relationships with local banks. This involves working with clients and technology partners to develop customer-centric solutions to accelerate the bank’s digitisation strategies. Pete has experience developing bespoke client digital banking solutions partnering with global technology vendors.
In his previous role, he was head of Product AU/NZ for J.P. Morgan’s Global Treasury Services (TS) business. He was responsible for driving and commercialising innovative solutions across the TS business with a focus on e-Commerce and the New Payments Platform (NPP). In addition, he was responsible for strategic business planning, client sales, pricing/deal economics, industry relationship management and business process improvement.
Prior to this Pete spent ten years with Citi focusing on driving treasury solutions and sales, people management, programme/project management, client relationship management and strategic planning.
Pete has been heavily involved with the latest banking technologies. He was in the NPP industry design working group and project managed both Apple Pay solutions and multinational in-country high tech receivables.
Pete’s qualifications include Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), Bachelor of Information Technology (business systems), Certificate in International Cash Management (ACT), Diploma of Financial Services, Diploma in Stockbroking, PMI Certification, Scrum Product Owner Certified and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
