Andrew Blades

Founder ​

With twenty years of experience in information technology recruitment, gained in the United Kingdom and Australia, Andrew has an exceptional network and a proven ability to match clients and candidates. Andrew is a driving force behind, and influencer within, the Australasian IT architecture community, having founded the ‘Architecting for Innovation’, and the ‘Australiasian Architecture’ networks. Andrew is passionate about progressing industry thought leadership and regularly speaks at industry events. This has enabled Andrew to develop deep technical knowledge and become a trusted advisor to clients and candidates.

Prior to starting The Bridge Search, Andrew previously worked for FinXL, Xpand and Mitchellake and co-founded an Anson McCade specialist recruitment firm in the UK. Andrew has worked with a diverse array of clients from early-stage start-ups to medium-sized organisations to some of Australia’s best-known enterprises. These have included FinTech, financial services, media, digital, vendors & integrators and commercial organisations.
Andrew is based in Sydney and has BSc in Business Finance and Economics.





With a detective-like sense of smell and excellent instincts, Poppy is an integral member of The Bridge Search. She’s a people-puppy and loves being part of the team, so she attends as many client and candidate meetings as her schedule permits. When not hard-at-work, Poppy can be found running around the park, chewing on sticks or having an essential nap on her beanbag.
