Integration (WebMethods) Architect / Developer — 6‑Month Contract | Remote (AEST)
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect/Developer with strong proficiency in WebMethods to support ongoing integration initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. This role is suited to a senior integration professional who can operate independently, deliver high‑quality technical outcomes, and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Position Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using the WebMethods suite. The role involves working across cloud and on‑premise systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable connectivity between internal platforms and external partners.
Key Responsibilities - WebMethods solution design and development across Integration Server, Trading Networks, and Universal Messaging
- Implementing integration flows using REST, SOAP, FTP and related protocols
- Data mapping, transformation and orchestration using XML, JSON and flat‑file formats
- Troubleshooting, performance optimisation and issue resolution across existing integrations
- Supporting API‑led connectivity, ESB patterns and event‑driven architecture
- Ensuring adherence to enterprise security standards, coding guidelines and best practices
- Collaborating with architects, analysts, QA and operations teams to ensure successful delivery
Required Skills & Experience - Minimum 3 years' hands‑on experience with the WebMethods suite
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging concepts and security protocols
- Experience working across multi‑system environments with complex data flows
- Ability to operate autonomously while managing multiple concurrent priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
