About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Power Apps Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Sydney. If you love turning business problems into clean, efficient digital solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, this could be a great fit. You’ll work across a mix of new builds and enhancement projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, user-friendly applications.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing and building custom applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Automating business processes using Power Automate and integrating with internal and external services.
  • Connecting apps with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Dataverse, SQL, and REST APIs.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional apps.
  • Creating and managing data models using Dataverse or other data sources.
  • Implementing role-based security and maintaining performance and governance standards.
  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation and solution guides.
  • Supporting solution testing, training, and handover to business users.
What You’ll Bring
  • Hands-on experience building business applications with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Strong Power Automate (Flow) skills, including complex conditional logic and integrations.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Power Platform connectors, custom connectors, and gateway setup.
  • Proficiency in Power Fx, formulas, variables, and expressions.
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse, SQL Server, or other relational data sources.
  • Experience integrating with APIs (REST, JSON, XML) and understanding authentication methods (OAuth, etc.).
  • Ability to create responsive, user-friendly UI/UX within Power Apps.
  • Knowledge of app lifecycle management and solution packaging.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
 
Desirable Extras
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-400, PL-200).
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Azure API Management.
  • Exposure to Power BI for dashboard/report integration.
  • Understanding of Power Platform governance, environment strategy, and DLP policies.
  • Familiarity with Git-based source control for Power Platform.
