Senior Software and Product Engineer – Brisbane
We’re looking for a Senior Software and Product Engineer to help shape the future of financial technology. This is a chance to work at the intersection of product innovation and technical architecture, building scalable solutions that power real‑world impact.
This is a
remote‑first role with hybrid flexibility, you’ll primarily work from home, but will need to attend the Brisbane office occasionally for key meetings, workshops, or team sessions.
Unlike traditional enterprise roles, this position is hands‑on, collaborative, and suited to someone who thrives in
smaller teams/start‑up style environments, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, moves quickly, and stays close to both product and customer outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop technical solutions and system architectures that solve complex business problems.
- Build and maintain Blueprint configurations — reusable, best‑practice reference implementations.
- Drive new feature development and proof‑of‑concept builds, including emerging tech and AI.
- Collaborate directly with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to shape the roadmap.
- Contribute across the stack, from front‑end to back‑end, with a focus on delivering working product.
- Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to colleagues and professional services teams.

What we’re looking for
- 4–10 years’ experience in software/product engineering, ideally across multiple environments.
- A generalist developer mindset — comfortable working across front‑end, back‑end, and cloud.
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, REST APIs, and SQL/MySQL.
- Exposure to Java or other back‑end languages is useful, but not essential, willingness to learn is key.
- Proven ability to deliver POCs, MVPs, and scalable product features.
- Experience in smaller teams, start‑ups, or environments where you’ve worn multiple hats.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
- Financial services experience is a plus, but not required.
