Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant — Data Migration Specialist
12‑Month Contract | Remote Australia | ASAP Start
Hands-on functional role with a major D365 Finance & Operations program. Deep functional capability + serious migration experience required.
About the Role Our client is delivering a significant Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation and needs a hands-on Functional Consultant with real data migration experience — someone who has run fit-gap, written FDDs, configured production & supply chain, and personally executed DMF/LCS loads.
If you've worked in complex manufacturing, engineered products, or multi‑stage production environments, you'll be a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities - Run fit-gap workshops and produce Functional Design Documents (FDDs) under Microsoft's Success by Design
- Configure and support Production Control — production orders, BOMs, routes, operations, scheduling, work centre capacity
- Support ETO/CTO manufacturing including Product Configuration, engineering change management, revision control
- Configure Supply Chain Management — procurement, sourcing, vendor collaboration, inventory, and ideally advanced WMS
- Support Master Planning for long lead-time components — safety stock, coverage groups, planned order firming, multi‑site/intercompany planning
- Support Costing & WIP — standard costing, costing versions, BOM calculations, WIP valuation
- Configure Quality Management — inspection plans, non-conformance, quality orders, regulatory/safety-critical QC
- Own end-to-end data migration using LCS + DMF — templates, mappings, loads, validation
- Work with PLM/PDM and EDI integrations (functional specs, data flows — not hands-on development)
Essential Experience - Proven hands-on D365 F&O functional consulting (not training-only)
- Strong, demonstrable LCS + DMF migration experience — core requirement
- Background in manufacturing, engineered products, or complex production environments
- Comfortable working independently on a remote Australian engagement
Nice to Have - Experience with ETO/CTO manufacturing
- Exposure to dealer networks, service/parts, long asset lifecycle models
- Experience with advanced WMS configurations
