We’re not alone! With Darryl Carr
A journey into Enterprise Architecture
This month we were fortunate enough to pull Darryl Carr away from his busy schedule to join us for our Architecting for Innovation Lunch and Learn.
Darryl was a great fountain of knowlage and expertise and created a great lunchtime of learning and interactive discussion. We look forward to another future session with Darryl.
For those who don’t know Darryl. He is a practising architect with over 30 years of experience. He has worked in numerous roles, including everything from applications development to business liaison, design of enterprise-scale solutions and strategic roadmaps. Darryl specialises in establishing and maturing Enterprise Architecture teams, and he is active in the global EA and IT communities through activities such as:
Editor of the Enterprise Architecture Professional Journal
Chair and Committee Member of EA-related events, including the BIL-T Conference Series Judging state and national IT innovation awards
Darryl is often sought for his advice on EA and organisational change, fusing a set of disciplines such as Systems Thinking, Change Management, Design Thinking and Agile Delivery in order to bring about transformative change in organisations.
Darryl likes to run informative and interactive sessions. During this lunch and learn was no exception. We discussed for a starter:-
The disciplines that seek to bring about change in organisations, and
The incumbent roles within organisations that also have overlap with the work the Enterprise Architect is looking to achieve and many more questions from the audience.
